This is a unique cable where the 3.5mm or 2 RCA audio is extruded along the HDMI and DVI cable in order to give an Audio source to this all in one cable. As most know that DVI has never given nor does it have an output for Audio, it only gives Video hence its prefix DVI for Digital Video Interface.

What hardware would utilize this cable?
With the newer LCDs, PLASMAs and DLPs the back panels has this feature with an HDMI and 2 RCA input or one 3.5mm audio input. This cable is also compatible with older hardware that has an DVI-A, DVI-D & DVI-I ports.
Important This cable does NOT integrate digital audio into the HDMI portion of the cable. It instead is a convenient cable bundle that includes an ANALOG source and destination connection in the same cable harness.
